Policies
Please read the following policies. We will ask our participants to agree to the Attendance Policy and Cancellation Policy prior to submitting your Registration Form online.
Attendance Policy
In order to achieve the intended Learning Objectives and to satisfy the completion requirements for Certificates of Attendance/CEU's, attendees are expected to attend the course for the entire duration of each day (9:00 am to 4:30 PM each day). Attendees will miss crucial information needed to be able to correctly use the SOS Approach to Feeding program if they come late or leave the course early. Late arrival or early departure on any day will not be accepted. Continuing Education Units and Certificates of Attendance will not be given to Attendees that are late or leave early. Please make any travel arrangements to ensure that you do not need to leave the conference early on any day. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Additional Requirements - COTA, OTA, CODA, SA, PTA, or student in training. LICENSING STANDARDS
All students and assistants must follow individual licensing/training standards for their State/Country and their professional degree's supervision standards. When there is a requirement for students and/or assistants to practice only under professional supervision, the SOS Approach to Feeding program requires those SLP-A's, COTA's or discipline equivalent to have a Supervisor who themselves have attended a SOS Training Conference. If your Supervisor has previously attended the SOS Approach to Feeding and you are registering to attend an SOS Training Conference as an assistant or student, please have your supervisor send an email stating that they will provide supervision to you as required by your State/Country's standards while practicing the SOS Approach to Feeding, along with a copy of their SOS Certificate of Attendance. If your supervisor is planning to attend an SOS Conference with you, please have your supervisor send an email stating that they will be attending the SOS conference with you and will provide supervision to you while practicing the SOS Approach to Feeding IF this is required by your State, County, or professional degree's standards. If you are uncertain of the licensing standards, please have a supervisor of the student/assistant send an email to cover this requirement. Please email this communication to [email protected]
