The La Kermesse Franco-Americaine Festival began in 1982 and continues to be is held in Biddeford, Maine. Initially the festival was established to celebrate the French-Canadian heritage, which is still strong in the Biddeford area. Today, while continuing to honor the French-Canadian people and traditions with favorite foods, music, and activities, the festival has expanded to welcome people of all international backgrounds, creating an atmosphere for all ages to enjoy together for years to come!
